DEX with Trading Strategies

We designed the complete brand and interface for Mangrove. An order book DEX that allows traders to list "promises" instead of locked assets, maximizing capital efficiency across the Web3 ecosystem.

About

Mangrove is an order book DEX that lets you run trading strategies without locking your funds. Unlike traditional exchanges, Mangrove lists "promises" instead of committed assets. This allows liquidity to be shared, borrowed or lent on other protocols while simultaneously sitting on the Mangrove order book, ready to be sourced only when an offer is taken. It is the definition of capital efficiency for the Web3 ecosystem.

Branding

Roots of the Ecosystem

The brand centers on the mangrove tree as nature’s ultimate connector. We created an identity where organic flowing lines represent the root systems that connect different protocols just as mangroves connect land and water. This unique identity resonated strongly enough to inspire community fan art and earn a feature on Behance.

Animals Explaining DeFi

We created a custom library of illustrations featuring the animals of the mangrove ecosystem to make the digital environment feel alive. They appear in various forms and movements throughout the interface adding warmth and narrative depth to the platform giving Mangrove a memorable visual language.

Dark Mode, Green Mode

The website needed to speak to three distinct audiences: traders, liquidity providers, and developers. We utilized a sleek dark mode with sharp green accents to create high contrast and readability. Whether a user is there to implement an SDK or place a trade the visual hierarchy ensures the path is frictionless and clear.

Order in the Jungle

DeFi is a dense forest of complexity. We cut a clear path through it. We designed the interface as a structured clearing where wild, unlocked liquidity is tamed into a professional trading view. It turns the chaos of code-based strategies into a clean visual landscape allowing traders to navigate the ecosystem without getting lost in the weeds.
